Hubbard attended two of New York's most well-known artistic attractions to remark on their latest offerings.An enthusiastic attendee of the Metropolitan Opera Company, Robin D. Hubbard enjoyed the New Year's Eve world premiere of the production The Enchanted Island. Featuring Baroque music set to an original English-language libretto, the storyline combines the plots of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest. Librettist Jeremy Sams tells this innovative story primarily through the music of Handel, Rameau, and Vivaldi. Ms. Hubbard found the production enchanting and looks forward to the Metropolitan Opera's next production, which opens on January 27: a new staging of Götterdämmerung, the final opera in Wagner's famous Ring of the Nibelung cycle.As she enjoys the work of the Metropolitan Opera, Robin D. Hubbard also enjoys and frequently visits the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art. She recently paid a visit to the Met to view its current exhibit, “The Renaissance Portrait: From Donatello to Bellini.” While there, Ms. Hubbard also paid a visit to the Museum's much-anticipated new American Wing.
